Christian Atsu, a Ghanaian international footballer for the Turkish Hatayspor club, was among those who did not attend. Five days after the earthquake, he has still not been located.


Numerous Ghanaians have prayed for the safety of those impacted, especially Christian Atsu, ever since word of the earthquake circulated.

In an interview with Metro TV, the gospel singer—known for her soul-stirring performances and strong voice—was overcome with emotion as she prayed for the footballer’s safe return.

She asked God to keep the Ghanaian player alive and unharmed beneath the debris while Ghanaians prayed for him.
