Female names in my songs are ladies I’ve had an encounter with – Kuami Eugene
In case you’ve come across the music catalogue by Kuami Eugene, you’ll definitely see either Abena, Monica or Belinda amongst the title of the songs.
During a one-on-one interview with Amansan Krakye, the ‘Canopy’ hitmaker revealed that some of the female names in his songs are ladies he’s encountered.
“The life that I’m living both past, present and the future those that I come into contact with influence the kind of songs that I do.
“I’ve had a couple of encounters with a certain Abena so when you listen to my songs you hear such a name in the lyrics or the title,” he said on Property FM.
“So normally I’m talking about someone especially sharing the story of a female I’ve come across in the songs I do “He confirmed “Yes it does happen that some of my songs you hear female names in there are ladies that I’ve had an encounter with as a friend or in a relationship”.
