Gyakie opens up about career challenges and overcoming pressure

In an interview with BBC Africa, Ghanaian musician Jackline Acheampong, better known by her stage name Gyakie, opened out about her battles with early career pressure.
The “Forever” hitmaker disclosed in the exclusive interview that she frequently broke down in tears due to the increased pressure from fans and management to release successive singles.
She acknowledged that, particularly after her breakthrough single “Forever” catapulted her to stardom, “I would cry at home almost every three days because the pressure was too much.”
She went on to say that she would become emotionally overwhelmed by being yelled at or under pressure.
But since then, Gyakie has grown resilient, managing the pressures of the music business and dealing with criticism on social media.
