The well-known dancehall performer Shatta Wale has revealed that he hasn’t smoked marijuana in the last five (5) months.
During a recent tour to the Upper East Region, Shatta Wale gave advice to up-and-coming musicians. He told them to focus on their music careers instead of utilizing heavy drugs.
The “Mellissa” hitmaker admitted to the musicians present that, although he is aware they won’t believe him, he has been smoke-free from marijuana for the past five months and now only smokes cigarettes.
“I smoke alright but about five months now I have not smoked weed. I know people will not believe me. It’s just cigarette that I smoke now,” he said.
He continued: “Sometimes you need to quit certain things and focus on yourself. But the tramol and those things, don’t take it because I have boys who took those things are condemned now.”
