“I Just Wish Adwoa Safo Had Spoken Earlier” – Lydia Forson

Former Dome Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo’s fiery remarks on radio and television have prompted a response from multiple award-winning actress Lydia Forson.
Lydia Forson shared a tweet from GHOne TV on an announcement of Adwoa Safo’s presence on the One-On-One show on Friday, March 21, 2025, on her X account.
Unfortunately, it was reported that several prominent members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had broken into the former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection’s home; therefore, the interview was canceled.
But in her response to the GHOne TV article, Miss Forson said she was shocked that so many Ghanaians were unaware of Adwoa Safo’s legal profession.
She pointed out that one of the youngest people to be admitted to the bar and continue practicing law was the former Dome Kwabenya MP.
The well-known actress responded to Adwoa Safo’s interviews by saying that it had been fascinating to hear her disclosures.
She also mentioned that she could feel the sadness in the Ghanaian politician’s voice and that she wished she had spoken sooner.
Taking to X, Lydia Forson wrote:
I’m shocked that so many of you didn’t know she was a lawyer- probably one of the youngest to be called to the bar if I remember correctly. It’s been interesting listening to her revelations— I just wish she’d spoken up earlier.
Either way there’s a lot of pain in her voice.
