“I’m Broke Now But I’ve Asked A Movie Producer To Shoot A Movie With My Corpse Before I’m Buried” – Actress Janet Ackun 

In a new interview with Kingdom Plus FM, Maame Jane of Osofo Dadzie disclosed that she has asked a Kumasi-based filmmaker to weave a film around the loom of her dead corpse when she dies hours before she is buried.

Despite working for over 50 years, the experienced actress claims she is as poor as a church mouse and refuses to reveal the reason for her decision. The actress replied to this, as well as the fact that she had stayed broke throughout, by saying:

This is the truth of my existence after 49 years of acting. People think I’m a celebrity, so I’m constantly wealthy.

I’m broke right now, as we speak.

Producers and directors no longer contact me.

I would have gotten something little in my pocket if they had. Regrettably, they have ignored me.

I’m unable to stop behaving. This is something I’ve been doing since the Osofo Dadzie period. It’s been over 50 years since then. I’ll keep acting until I die. I’ve even told one producer that before they bury me, they should make a movie using my body. That’s when I’ll pass away.
