“I’m Not Pressuring The President For Appointment” – Michael Afrane

After devoting his time and energy to the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) 2024 election campaign, renowned Kumawood actor Michael Afrane has made no secret of his commitment to the party and is now prepared for whatever the future may bring, even a call from President John Dramani Mahama.

Before the elections, Afrane, a fervent supporter of the NDC, traveled the nation to mobilize people and urge them to support Mahama’s comeback to power. He was not, however, on this assignment alone. Alongside him, Big Akwes, Christian Awuni, Nana Yeboah, and other Kumawood celebrities contributed their voices and clout to the cause.

Afrane was certain that his steadfast dedication would not go unnoticed in an exclusive interview with SeanCitygh.com. He did, however, make it clear that he is not actively seeking a political position. He declared, “I am not pressuring President Mahama for a position, but I certainly won’t decline if an appointment comes my way.”

His position is fascinating, particularly considering his track record of frank political criticism. Afrane has never hesitated to voice his disapproval of the rival New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has even gone so far as to say that young people who support the NPP run the danger of going bankrupt, which has made him a controversial character in political circles as well as a hero among NDC fans.
