“Instead Of Attacking Charterhouse, You’re Beefing Kuami Eugene Who Has Hit Tracks Than You” – Keche Andrew Tells DopeNation
The VGMA (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) board removed the “Best Group of the Year” category before the 2022 event. The board said that the category was no longer competitive because the relevance of music groups had decreased.
For that reason, over the last few years, groups in Ghana seem to be irrelevant when it comes to the award scheme, but the female duo, Lali X Lola, however, has petitioned to bring that category back.
This petition caught the attention of the rapper of the musical duo Keche, who, in a self-recorded video, has shaded the musical group Dopenation, which has been relevant over that period.
The best group category was scrapped.
According to Keche Andrew, he never expected Lali X Lola to be the group to petition for group of the year to be reinstated; however, in the video, he told Dopenation to wise up and channel their energy into what will be beneficial to them rather than beefing with Kuami Eugene, who has more hit songs than them.
