A protégé of the esteemed Ghanaian pastor, Prophet Ogyaba, has verified that the preacher takes a consultation fee of $300, which is equivalent to GH¢4,568.50, at his church.
The young man, Leo, articulated these points during an interview with Ghanaian content creator De God Son, clarifying that this specified amount is applicable to individuals residing abroad.
His statement was a direct response to a previous assertion made by a woman living overseas, who alleged that she reached out to the pastor for spiritual assistance and was informed that she needed to pay $300 before she could access the preacher’s guidance.
The woman contended that a friend had introduced her to the preacher; however, she felt let down after her attempt to meet with him.
In his discussion with De God Son, Leo defended the fees imposed by the preacher, arguing that pastors offer valuable services and should thus be compensated for their work.
He referenced Matthew 10:8, which states:
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”
However, he ultimately dismissed this verse as unrealistic, emphasizing that fundamental church resources such as speakers, chairs and microphones are not provided without cost but are instead purchased, thereby requiring financial contributions to maintain the church’s operations.
He made these observations during the thirteenth minute of the video.
