Well-known Ghanaian preacher, Prophet Kumchacha, has made a public request for a government post from President John Dramani Mahama.
When Prophet Kumchacha appeared on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, March 1, 2025, he stated that he thought he was worthy of the job.
Following the recent appointment of Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), a well-known fashion designer, as Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, he made this request. Actress Kafui Danku was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA) in the latter week of February 2025, while actor James Gardiner was designated Deputy Executive Secretary.
Prophet Kumchacha made the request, claiming that no Ghanaian preacher had put in as much effort as he had.
Additionally, he asserted that no other preacher had risked their lives for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) party in the same way that he did.
President Mahama needs to make every effort to schedule me for an appointment. He said, “I want to be the leader of the nation’s clergy.
“
He emphasized that he had supported the NDC more than any other pastor in Ghana over the previous four years, even going so far as to kneel in his plea. Additionally, he suggested that President Mahama create a government agency dedicated to pastors, which he could supervise.
