“Maame No Wandi D3 Wc Wiase Baako Mpo” – Yung Pabi Reveals How His Mother’s Death Sent Him Into Musical Hiatus

Ghanaian rapper Prince Addo Biney, better known as Yung Pabi, has nevertheless been one of the hardest rappers in the hip hop scene, notwithstanding his magical stagecraft that always keeps audiences in awe.
The rapper, releasing Give Thanks, which features rapper-cum-singer Fameye, went into hiatus for reasons unknown, which kept his fans and hip-hop enthusiasts asking where he has been.
The rapper has addressed all questions, and he announces his return to mainstream music. He did that through spitting out some bars on Kojo Cue’s ‘Abrebese’ beat.
All rap enthusiasts will actually recall that not long ago, Kojo Cue dropped a song with Fameye (#Abebrese), and he gave Yung Pabi a shoutout, referencing his first EP, Running with Men on Horses.
Fast forward, Cue visits the studio, and Pabi tells him his reason for going shut on the same song Kojo Cue shouts him out on.
Spitting some bars in Twi, Pabi said, “If you don’t ask and you’re not told, you’ll be hot, just like Mum’s kitchen. What made me relax and now get back to music is this: In 2021, after releasing Give Thanks featuring AFmeye, I was preparing for the video shoot when I had a call that all was not well with my mother. I got scared, got there, and the woman was helpless. We took her to the hospital, and she left us after four days.
That shit hit me hard because that woman did not enjoy life at all.”
