Medikal and I are not involved in Fraud —Shatta Wale Claims
Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has dispelled claims that he is involved in fraud.
According to him, he works for his money, and no one should link him to any fraudulent dealings.
Shatta Wale was speaking at the just-ended Beyond Kontrol Concert when he made this known.
He stated that as a young man, he had focused on his work, and that has brought him to where he currently is.
Therefore, any attempts to link him to any fraudulent dealings will be resisted.
“They are saying we are into Sakawa, I want everyone to know that I roll with Medikal, and we are not involved in Sakawa. Those who say we are involved in sakawa their moda. We are in this country, calling on the government to give the people jobs.
We are doing our things and buying our cars with the proceeds from our work, and somebody will see us and say we are doing sakawa. It’s not everyone who is into sakawa. There are people who are hustling. Me Shatta Wale, I don’t do fraud, If you accuse me of fraud, I will stand in front of God and tell you your mother,” he told the charged crowd.
His comments come on the back of Abu Trica’s recent arrest through a joint effort by security agencies in the country.
US prosecutors have indicted Ghanaian social media entrepreneur Frederick Kumi, also known as Emmanuel Kojo Baah Obeng and popularly called Abu Trica, for allegedly helping defraud elderly Americans of more than $8 million.
Unsealed documents from the Northern District of Ohio accuse him of joining a romance-scam network that, since 2023, used AI-generated identities to deceive seniors on social media and dating platforms.
