Nigerian comedian Bovi has expressed his views on parenting, highlighting the enduring impact parents’ actions can have on their kids.
During an episode of the Honest Bunch podcast monitored by MyNewsGh, Bovi mentioned that although mothers are capable of raising children effectively, a father’s detrimental impact can eclipse their hard work.
“A mother can raise a child very well, but if the father is a nuisance, that son, no matter how well raised, will be a nuisance to his wife,” he said.
He clarified that kids frequently evolve into a mix of what they see at home.
“Some children are a hybrid of good and evil. It’s not bipolar; they just have the best of both worlds,” Bovi noted.
The comedian also highlighted how adverse family relationships can influence adult behaviour in children.
Bovi also contemplated how numerous men from his generation never witnessed their parents show affection.
“Some girls are very abusive because they saw their mothers abuse their fathers,” he stated.
“Many of us learned to be romantic from movies and novels because we never saw our fathers and mothers kiss, play, or call each other pet names.
We just woke up one day and realized we had younger siblings,” he joked.
