NPP is a political party that hates creatives—Fred Nuamah

Fred Nuamah, a filmmaker and the founder of the now-defunct Ghana Movie Awards, is adamant that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) despises artists.
He claims that the party does not provide creatives in their party the opportunity to advance and win elections.
He mentioned those who were denied the chance to represent their people in Parliament, including Obour, Mark Okraku Mantey, Claudia Lumour, and others.
He sees the NPP’s campaign for Okaikwei Central and Tema Central Seats as further proof that the party despises artists.
He indicated that clearly, the National Democratic Congress has demonstrated its love for the creative space by ensuring that some creatives are given the opportunity to represent their people and get their voices heard.
“The NPP does not like creatives that is why they contest for seats and do not allow people in the space the opportunity to also represent their people.
Even in the just-ended election, they have shown that they don’t like creatives because they are fighting Baba Sadiq and Ebi Bright over seats that they have won. It is not fair and they need to end that hate for creatives,” he said on Accra-based United Television.
