NPP Members Are Getting Involved In Galamsey Just To Make The Government Unpopular – A-Plus Alleges

To undermine the President, Kwame Asare Obeng, often known as A-Plus, the Gomoa Central member of parliament, has claimed that members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) engage in illicit mining.
He claims that these NPP members have been sent in huge numbers to waterways and forest reserves around the nation to wreak havoc and then accuse the Mahama administration of not doing enough to stop the threat, which is known as galamsey.
“They chose to launch a galamsey to bring John Mahama into disrepute after realizing that the NDC had won the election. Only NPP leaders are engaged in galamsey throughout Ghana, and that this is done on purpose to give the appearance that the GoldBod project is intended to encourage illegal mining.”
The member of parliament said that the present government is, in fact, attempting to address the threat.
“We can never totally eradicate mining in the nation, but John Mahama is making good progress against it with the Blue Army and other programs. We must make sure that mining is done responsibly.
They were involved in galamsey for eight years.
Does it mean that in just three months, the NDC has already started galamsey? It is them. If any NDC member is involved, then they are only now in the process of procuring excavators.”
