Okyeame Kwame, a popular Ghanaian rapper, has revealed some secret details about why he turned down an offer from Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the flagbearer of the Movement for Change political party.
In an exclusive interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM, he said that about three months ago, the former Minister of Trade, Industry, Private Sector Development (PSD) and Presidential Special Initiatives (PSI) called him and offered the offer.
The award-winning musician went on to say that when he walked into the meeting, Hon. Alan Kyeremanten reminded him of the ten items they discussed before deciding on him as their running mate.
Okyeame Kwame mentioned that among the things they pointed out were his strong business acumen, strong social media presence and many others.
OK indicated that while the offer looked very tempting and pampering, he felt it was not the right time to take the offer because he had not prepared his family, especially, his two teenage children for all the troubles associated with politics.
The “Insha Allah” hitmaker added that he felt that if he had had about a year to adequately prepare his family, then he would have considered the offer but since that was not the case, he had to decline.
