Respect Helped Me Work With Both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy – Sista Afia Reveals
Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has credited mutual respect and professionalism for her ability to maintain working relationships with both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy despite their well-known rivalry.
Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Angel FM, Sista Afia explained that she has always focused on respecting her colleagues and staying neutral in industry conflicts.
According to the singer, maintaining a good relationship with both artistes has never been difficult because she treats each of them with the same level of respect.
“Because I have been very respectful to both artistes, my new project has both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy on it,” she stated.
According to Sista Afia, one of the songs featuring Stonebwoy is already in the pipeline alongside other collaborations involving female musicians and dancehall stars.
“I have one song in the pipeline with Stonebwoy,” she revealed. “I also have another with Wendy Shay, Cina Soul, and Shatta Wale.”
The singer explained that despite the tensions and rivalries that sometimes exist within the music industry, she has successfully maintained good relationships with different camps because of her attitude toward people.
“I have been able to navigate my relationship with these two major artistes because I respect everybody,” she said.
She noted that professionalism and understanding have helped her collaborate and interact with both camps without facing major challenges.
Her comments come amid ongoing discussions about unity and collaboration among Ghanaian artistes, with many fans praising her ability to maintain cordial ties with both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Sista Afia further stressed that respect within the entertainment industry often produces mutual understanding and healthy professional relationships.
“Respect is reciprocal and they return it,” she added.
She also praised both artistes for the love and courtesy they continue to show her whenever they interact.
“They also love me and are courteous,” she noted.
