Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has responded to his critics after a post that caused a stir on social media.

The rapper’s remark ‘Back to Gari soakings like we never left’ following President Mahama’s inauguration was the catalyst for the trouble.

This caused a lot of negative reactions on the internet because many people believed it to be a jab at the president.

In response to the backlash, Sarkodie fired back with a powerful message, stating, “Only fools believe what they hear.” 

To emphasize his point even more he posted a video with Rev. According to Obofour only idiots fall for rumours.

This action was interpreted as Sarkodie’s direct response to his detractors challenging them to exercise critical thought and not accept things at face value.
