Shatta Wale, Ghana’s dancehall king, received a hero’s welcome upon his arrival in Ghana after an explosive performance with Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel.
The singer arrived at Kotoka International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to an enormous crowd and traditional leaders.
During his arrival, Shatta Wale was seen dressed in a white kente cloth embroidered with Adinkra symbols like Gye Nyame (On God).
He was gifted with artwork to show his appreciation for a successful performance after putting Ghana on the map.
Shatta Wale’s performance at Vybz Kartel’s concert in Jamaica is his debut gig in the Caribbean land.
He was crowned as the King of African Dancehall by Jamaicans as well as other renowned musicians such as Vybz Kartel and Busta Rhymes.
Fans and music enthusiasts fell in love with his stage presence as well as his songs “On God,” “Mansa Musa,” and others, which impacted his digital platform streams.
