Prophet Ogyaba has recently faced significant condemnation after openly confessing to infidelity with his wife, alongside spending over GHS 60,000 to furnish an apartment for his mistress, Lady Cassie.
This so-called prophet not only rented but also extravagantly decorated the apartment in accordance with Cassie’s demands.
As a result, there has been widespread outrage among Ghanaians.
Screenshots of their exchanges indicate that she detailed expenses, which included a GHS 12,000 bed, a GHS 5,000 flat-screen TV, a GHS 4,500 air conditioner and additional costs, ultimately exceeding GHS 32,000 for the apartment’s furnishings alone.
Moreover, Cassie disclosed that Prophet Ogyaba rejected her plea to become his second wife, prompting her to reveal their affair.
She claimed that the prophet routinely brought underage girls to the apartment and even impregnated his personal assistant.
In response to these allegations, Ghanaian content creator Mrs.
Agbenyeke has criticized Prophet Ogyaba for damaging the reputation of Christianity and undermining the credibility of religious leaders in general.
“If a man of God can shamelessly brag about his sins, he shouldn’t be tagged as a pastor. This is not just an attack on his personal character but a direct affront to the values of Christianity. People like this give the faith a bad name.” she stated.
She further lashed out at those defending the prophet, saying, “It’s shameful that some people are jumping to his defence despite the overwhelming evidence. Are these the standards we are now setting for spiritual leaders? We should hold them accountable, not justify their wrongdoings. He is supposed to be the one advising his church members against such acts, not engaging in them, and proudly talking about it on social media.”
