Some celebrities in Ghana can’t travel abroad because they are afraid they would be arrested for fraud- MC Yaa Yeboah

Ghanaian media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has stirred reactions online after claiming that some Ghanaian celebrities avoid travelling abroad because they fear possible arrest over questionable sources of wealth.
In a post shared on her official X platform, formerly Twitter, MC Yaa Yeboah dismissed the idea that certain celebrities are simply too busy to travel.
According to her, there is “no iota of truth” in such claims, insisting that many public figures are avoiding international trips for other reasons.
She advised Ghanaians to “stop acting clueless,” suggesting that several celebrities may have hidden issues they do not want exposed outside the country.
MC Yaa Yeboah further claimed that recent arrests involving some prominent individuals in Ghana have increased fear among celebrities, leading many to avoid travelling abroad while publicly claiming they are too busy.
The media personality added that some celebrities worry airport immigration checks abroad could become intense interrogations.
“If some celebrities decide to travel abroad, the immigration might turn into an interrogation room,” she stated, describing the situation as worrying.
Her comments have since generated debate on social media, with many users sharing mixed reactions over her claims about celebrities and international travel.
She wrote;
Every other week there’s news about FBI-linked arrests in Ghana, truth is some of our favorite personalities can’t comfortably travel abroad. Stop acting clueless. Not everybody avoiding international trips now is “too busy” — some are just scared at this point .. they’re scared airport immigration might turn into an interrogation room … … quite worrying ..?
