The mother of the well-known TikTok content creator, Akonoba, has finally confronted public speculations regarding her son’s appearance and sexuality.
During a TikTok Live session, she candidly discussed the numerous challenges her family has faced due to pervasive assumptions about her son.
Speaking with fervor, she disclosed that Akonoba was born with feminine features—a fact that has led many to draw erroneous conclusions about him.
The mother expressed her exasperation with how society is so quick to label individuals (however, it often lacks a deeper understanding of their personal lives or identities).
She emphasized that Akonoba’s physical traits are merely aspects of his identity and should not dictate his character or sexuality.
“People judge my son based on his appearance, but I want to make it clear: my son is not gay.
He was born with feminine features and because of that people always assumed he was gay.” she firmly stated.
“It’s hurtful to see how people assume things without any basis. My son is a wonderful human being, and he deserves respect just like everyone else.
He only channelled his inner feminine traits to create content on TikTok.” she added during the live session.
These comments come in light of allegations from another TikTok star claiming that Akonoba’s marriage was fabricated and that he entered into it to conceal the truth about his sexual orientation.
Although this situation has stirred significant controversy, it underscores a broader issue within societal perceptions of identity.
