Speaking candidly about the difficulties he had while playing for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League, former Black Stars player Sulley Muntari has shared his experiences.
After playing for the Phobians for a short time, the 40-year-old voiced his displeasure with the league’s poor circumstances, which he says played a part in his choice to not remain.
Likening the league to a “big hole” where money is constantly poured without producing noticeable changes, the former Milan star was unreserved in his criticism of its management and infrastructure.
In an interview with 3Sports, he pointed out a number of problems, such as unkempt facilities, unfavorable locker room conditions, and a general lack of respect, which finally compelled him to act independently.

“I always bring it home,” Muntari disclosed.
Accra Hearts of Oak allegedly had Mubarak Wakaso on their radar a few weeks before to the end of Ghana’s second transfer window, but the midfielder was unable to come to a deal with the Phobians.
In addition, Muntari expressed his understanding of Mubarak Wakaso’s hesitation to join Hearts of Oak.
He stated that Waka [Wakaso] is unlikely to be able to control them.
