Jose Mourinho slaps translator for confusing ‘twilight’ with ‘toilet’ (Video)

Jose Mourinho jokingly smacked his Fenerbahce translator following a humorous error at a press conference.
Mourinho, who took over as Fenerbahce’s manager this summer, created a surprising moment in the press room when his translator mixed up “twilight” and “toilet.”
The Special One addressed the media following Fenerbahce’s thrilling 3-2 victory against Caykur Rizespor on Sunday when the conversation took an amusing twist.
In discussing the balance between the “paradise” and “hell” of being a football manager, Mourinho noted he might enter the “twilight zone.
”
Notwithstanding, his translator misinterpreted the term and inquired if he meant “toilet area.”
Mourinho promptly rectified him and delivered a cheerful pat on the shoulder to the translator. The confusion had everyone in the press room laughing, and fans on the internet appreciated the amusing incident too.
Mourinho’s path as a coach started in the 1990s when he served as a translator for Sir Bobby Robson while Robson managed Sporting Lisbon and Porto.
Despite lacking coaching experience at the time, Mourinho amazed Robson with his understanding of football.
Robson once said:
“He’d [Mourinho] come back and hand me a dossier that was absolutely first class. As good as anything I’d received. Here he was, in his early-30s, never been a player or a coach, giving me reports as good as anything I ever got.
