Newly promoted Division One League side Nukunu FC has unveiled its new home and away kits ahead of the club’s historic debut in Ghana’s Division One League.
The new kits, produced by The Hope Brand (THB), were unveiled at a partnership ceremony held at the Lancaster Hotel in Accra, bringing together club officials, players, football administrators, sponsors and other dignitaries.
Founded in 2023 by Ketu North Member of Parliament Eric Edem Agbana, Nukunu FC have enjoyed an impressive and rapid rise through the Ghanaian football pyramid. In just three years, the club have progressed from Division Three to Division One, a remarkable achievement that underlines the ambition and vision behind the project.
The unveiling marks an important milestone for Nukunu FC as the club prepares to take on a new challenge following its promotion to the second tier of Ghanaian football.
Nukunu FC President and Founder, Edem Agbana, expressed his appreciation to The Hope Brand and other partners for their support and belief in the club’s vision.
He also acknowledged the support of Ghana Football Association officials, the club’s lawyer, former Black Stars player Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, and other dignitaries who have contributed to the club’s progress.
Special recognition was given to Mr Charles Antwi-Boahen, CEO of Kafam and headline sponsor of Nukunu FC, for his significant contribution to the club.
As part of the ceremony, the club presented Mr Antwi-Boahen with a customised Nukunu FC jersey. He had earlier purchased the jersey for GH₵200,000 in a major show of support for the club.
The event also featured a lively performance from Ghanaian musician Edem, who entertained guests with an acoustic performance before switching the rhythm with his hit song “Toto”. His performance sent the crowd into excitement.
Its growing portfolio includes some of Ghana’s most recognised football institutions, such as Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Medeama SC and Karela United.
With the 2026/27 Division One League season scheduled to kick off on September 18, anticipation is already building around Nukunu FC’s historic debut. The club will begin its campaign against Nania FC, the side owned by former Ghana captain and African football legend Abedi Pele.
With the new kits officially unveiled, Nukunu FC now turns its attention to the Division One League and the historic journey ahead.
