Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly in talks with Vinicius Junior’s representatives after he rejected a new contract from Real Madrid.
Vinicius, who is 24, turned down Madrid’s offer two weeks ago because he felt the financial terms didn’t reflect his true value.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has entered the picture, reportedly offering him a staggering €1 billion (£834 million) contract over five years, which could tempt him to leave Madrid.
According to Sky Sports, PSG has held informal discussions with Vinicius’ representatives and is keenly observing the situation.
They view him as a significant signing opportunity, especially following Kylian Mbappé’s departure.
Even though Vinicius is under contract with Madrid until June 2027, there are reports of rising tensions within the team.
Senior players, such as Luka Modric, are reportedly dissatisfied with Vinicius’ defensive work rate and his frequent disputes with referees.
This has fueled speculation that some within the club might be open to the idea of selling him, especially with Saudi Arabia reportedly planning a €300 million (£250 million) offer.
However, Real Madrid is eager to retain Vinicius.
Club president Florentino Perez considers him a vital part of the team’s future and might propose a better offer to persuade him to stay.
