“Stop Finger Pointing” – Reggie Rockstone On Those Pinning Kwadee’s Illness On GHAMRO

Legendary hip-hop artist Reggie Rockstone has entered the debate about the condition of fellow artist Okomfour Kwadee.

The music industry and groups like MUSIGA and GHAMRO have come under fire from fellow musicians and the public for failing to support the artist in his impoverished condition.

Reggie responded to the public criticism by urging Ghanaians not to place all the responsibility on the music business and organizations in an Instagram post.

Reggie Rockstone clarified in his heartfelt article that Kwadee is dealing with a problem that calls for human compassion and is not just the fault of the music business or groups like MUSICA (Musicians Union of Ghana).

Instead of criticizing the music industry, he asked what people are doing to support the artist.

“I’ve seen some talk on Twitter and, you know, a little bit over here and there. And it feels like the public seems to be pointing their finger at the music industry, saying that the industry has to do something for him and all that. Everybody seems to be pointing the finger. And I just started to get irritated by this.

“The public needs somebody to point a finger at.

And of course, yeah, he is a comrade musically. I get it. But you, the public, the ones pointing the fingers—what are you doing besides pointing the finger and talking?” he said.
