“Sure, We Will Be In America” – Stephen Appiah Assures Ghanaians

Following their recent successes in the qualifications, Stephen Appiah, the vice chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has voiced optimism in Ghana’s chances of earning a ticket in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana’s convincing 3-0 victory over Madagascar in Morocco on Monday gave them a five-point advantage at the top of Group I. With four games left in the qualifying season, this outcome further cemented the Black Stars’ place in the group after their decisive 5-0 victory against Chad in Accra last Friday.
As part of an attempt to restructure the team, Appiah, a pivotal player in Ghanaian football history as the captain who guided the country to its first-ever World Cup in 2006, was added to the Black Stars’ coaching staff in January.
Following the team’s victory over Madagascar, he spoke to 3Sports and urged Ghanaians to keep cheering for them, expressing confidence in their chances of qualifying.
“We have four games left to play.
We weren’t prepared for it; it was incredible when we played against Chad. Bring the love back, then,” Appiah said.
