The Speaker of Parliament let loose with wild celebrations following the Black Stars’ victory over South Korea.
At the Education City Stadium, Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, defeated South Korea 3-2 to win their second game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In order to prevent Ghana from scoring an equalizer in the game’s closing minutes, the Black Stars had to maintain their composure.
Mohammed Kudus, a star striker, and Mohammed Salisu, a star defender, each scored twice to give the stars the crucial victory.
There have been some odd reactions and instances of hysterical joy following the senior national team’s triumph over South Korea.
From the stadium, the celebration spread across Ghana’s streets.
President Nana Akufo-Addo and several well-known figures sent their congratulations for the team’s strong performance.
The euphoria was amplified by Ghana’s legislative branch when the winning goal was danced to from his office by Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin.
In a widely shared video, the speaker was seen ecstatically celebrating in his office, according to AtinkaNews. Bagbin was punching the air while dancing and grinning widely.
He could hear the chanting of the group he was with encouraging the speaker.
