Issues of Security and Health must not be politicised – Hon Edem Agbana

Member of Parliament Edem Agbana has called on political leaders to stop politicising issues of security and health in the country.
Speaking live Agenda on TV3 Ghana, the lawmaker stressed that matters affecting the safety and wellbeing of citizens must rise above partisan interests.
According to him, security challenges and health concerns affect every Ghanaian, regardless of political affiliation. He noted that crime, instability, and weaknesses in the health sector do not discriminate based on party colors.
Hon. Agbana urged leaders across the political divide to work together to protect lives and strengthen public institutions. He maintained that national development suffers when critical issues are turned into political battles.
He further explained that when security systems fail, businesses struggle and families live in fear. In the same way, a weak health system reduces productivity and puts lives at risk.
The MP concluded by calling for unity and responsible leadership, insisting that Ghana’s progress depends on prioritising citizens over party interests.
