65-year-old Man who walked from Kumasi To Accra for Mahama’s Inauguration gifted a brand-new car

Alhaji Ayaana 65, is a Tamale philanthropist and businessman who recently travelled an incredible 250 kilometers from Kumasi to Accra to see President-elect John Dramani Mahama sworn in on January 7 2025.
He received a brand-new Renault automobile and an undisclosed sum of money as a token of appreciation for his commitment.
Kofi Okyere Darko also known as KOD a well-known broadcaster and entertainment personality gave the car to the recipient. An online video shows Alhaji Ayaana getting the car keys and then getting inside to drive it.
However, the public’s response to the gesture has been conflicted.
Many internet users praised KOD and the other participants for recognizing Alhaji Ayaanas’s efforts but others had different thoughts and questioned whether the gift was really necessary.
This trip is just one of Alhaji Ayaana’s numerous symbolic actions.
He walked to commemorate former President Jerry John Rawlings’s inauguration for a second term in 1997.
He planned a 16-kilometre peace and health walk in Tamale two years later in 1999 with the goal of fostering harmony and wellbeing.
