Dr. Stephen Wengam, the head pastor of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, has highlighted the important milestones the Mahama family has celebrated at his church over the years.
In his recent heartfelt reflections on his relationship with former President John Dramani Mahama during an exclusive interview with Keminni Nyamanni Amanor on TVs Hot Issues which is monitored by MyNewsGh.
Wengam recounted how the Mahama family renewed their vows in front of their spiritual family at the church on their 15th and 30th wedding anniversaries.
In addition to these individual achievements Wengam discussed the Mahamas continued adherence to their religion.
“It’s been a privilege to see them come back to our altar to renew their vows twice—on their 15th and 30th anniversaries,” Wengam shared.
He continued by stating that the Mahama family has a strong bond with their spiritual home because all of the children were baptized in the church.
Beyond these individual achievements, Wengam discussed the Mahama’s continued adherence to their religion.
“When he joined our church, President Mahama didn’t just attend; he became an active member,” Wengam explained.
“He’s been involved in the Sunday School and Men’s Ministry departments, and on a few occasions, he even preached during church events like Father’s Day and Men’s Ministry Day.”
