The Video About Obuasi Gold Mines Was Recorded In June 2023 Not This Year — Captain Smart Clarifies
Media personality, Captain Smart has finally spoken out in response to claims that he was the cause of the recent Obuasi incident.
Among those who accused the vocal radio host was the former majority leader Hon.
Mensah Bonsu Osei Kyei was accused of inspiring the violence that broke out in Obuasi.
On the other hand, Captain Smart has strongly refuted these allegations saying that the rumors are unfounded.
He explained in a recent Facebook Live session that a video that has been making the rounds online in which he seems to be calling on young people to take action is actually an old video from 2023.
The video was made for a specific purpose and has been taken out of context Captain Smart claims.
Additionally, he subtly criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) implying that they are trying to divert attention from their dismal showing in the general elections held on December 7.
Following his previous suspension from his radio show for criticizing the NPP government Captain Smart has responded.
Due to his vocal opinions and criticism of the government the media personality has frequently been at odds with the ruling party.
