Swedru Students Receive Ghc30 As Reward For Returning A Purse That Contained Over 20k Cedis He Found On Campus (Video)

Two students were recognized by the Swedru Senior High School headmistress for their integrity in front of the entire student body during assembly.
The two pupils were seen standing by the headmistress on stage after she called them forward and asked their peers to applaud them.
The headmistress explained in a video on X that the two gave the administration back the lost cash they found on the compound.
Apparent, the unidentified owner of the money amounting to 20,000 Ghana cedis had it contained in a purse which was found by the boy.
“These are students who found money and decided to bring the money to the authorities to announce to the owners. This boy especially, the purse that he found, I can’t disclose the amount, but the amount is so much that I was surprised…this boy brought the purse to the administration.”
The headmistress rewarded the two students a girl and a boy with Gh¢10 and Gh¢20 Respectively for their honesty during the assembly.
The two were commended by the student body for returning the money, an act that the headmistress encouraged the other students to follow.
“This is what we want. So, in my own small way, I have this Gh¢20 for him.
You also have this. Because the fact is that some people are busily stealing. These are virtues that we will want you to uphold and so we will reward such people.”
