Ghanaian gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy has revealed plans to groom a successor who will eventually take over the leadership of the Tahila Experience.
According to the gospel musician, the annual spiritual gathering should grow beyond her personal involvement and become a generational platform that can be sustained by younger leaders.
Speaking about her long-term vision, Ohemaa Mercy said she sees herself moving into a mentorship role within the next decade, where she will prepare another person to carry the vision of the Tahila Experience.
“I’m seeing myself being a mentor and I believe that very soon, in 10 years’ time, I will be handling the mantle to another person. I’m going to groom a face to handle Tahila,” she said.
She explained that her intention is to eventually step back from the leadership position and allow another person to take responsibility for the programme while she continues to provide guidance and mentorship.
“I’m just going to relax, sit down and see the hand of God using other people to lead,” she added.
Ohemaa Mercy further disclosed that she already has several people in mind whom she believes could potentially take over the responsibility in the future.
Her comments highlight her desire to build the Tahila Experience into an enduring ministry that can continue to impact people even after she steps away from its leadership.
The gospel musician is currently preparing for the 13th edition of the Tahila Experience, which will be held under the theme “Altar of Fire.”
The annual event has become an important gathering within Ghana’s gospel and Christian community, bringing worshippers together for prayer, worship and spiritual encounters.
Ohemaa Mercy’s succession plan signals a long-term vision for the Tahila Experience, with mentorship and leadership development forming part of the next phase of the ministry.
