#FixTheCountry: Girls Are Prostituting Because Jobs In Ghana Don’t Pay Well – Efia Odo (Video)
According to Efia Odo, if work pays well, fewer people will partake in prostitution. She claims that not everyone who has sex for a living is sincerely involved in the business. They don't have a say, though.
Poorly paying work and a high cost of living, according to the socialite who has joined the Better Ghana Agenda, are strongly linked to prostitution in Ghana. She explained the importance of everyone joining the battle against poor governance in a video shared on her official Twitter account.
“How would you be cool with children drinking dirty water?” the actress, dressed in an African two-piece, was heard saying in the video. Mercury-laced water How do you feel about that? How do you feel about the shortage of hospitals and hospital beds in your area? How do you feel about kids learning on the floor? Or on a ledge? Will you mind if your kids learned on the ground with rocks instead of tables and chairs? If this is not the case, Why should it be appropriate for other children to study in this manner?”
If you're against the initiative, the actress claims, you're either being paid to be sensitive or have emotional problems. She believes it is illogical to believe the revolution is driven by a liberal ideology because people just want a better life.
Efia Odo considers herself privileged because she receives freebies as a result of running promotions on her social media accounts, but she acknowledges that other girls are not so fortunate. “There are a lot of young women who want to work. Not everybody wishes to engage in prostitution. However, some people do not have an option and even teachers are paid between 400 and 700 cedis per month. People are putting in a lot of effort for nothing!” She stated her case.
