According to radio personality Adakabre Frimpong Manso, Akua Donkor had been diagnosed with respiratory problems before being sent to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
He stated that the Nsawam Government Hospital had to move her because they were unable to manage the situation, but he did not specify the specific difficulty.
Before passing away, Akua Donkor was being treated at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after being flown to Accra in an ambulance.
However, on October 28, 2024, ten minutes before ten o’clock at night, death took her.
