With over thirty years of experience in the media, Ghana’s Oprah Winfrey, Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known as “Delay”, has opted to interview the first gentleman of the Republic of Ghana.
Delay’s request to intervie President Akufo Addo came after the Akyem Mafia received a lot of backlash from netizens for his poor answers to questions in a recent interview on BBC with broadcast journalist Peter Kwachè.
The report’s part on the divisive Electronic Transaction Levy (E-levy) Bill, which was one of the many topics covered, attracted internet users’ interest.
In an attempt to persuade the BBC anchor about the grounds for the E-levy, Ghana’s Zacchaeus president failed to persuade him. Akufo Addo’s tone revealed his determination to defend his government’s decision to enact the E-levy.
However, Delay’s request to interview the president was written as;
