Half of Tema-based music duo, R2Bees, Rashid Mugeez, who performs under the stage name Mugeez, has finally revealed why he does not fancy awards as a musician.
In a post on Twitter chanced on by BrownGh.com, the singer stated the principles and philosophies he is guided by which makes him not chasing after awards.
According to him, despite being one of the best vocalists of one time in Ghana, he does not do songs to win awards.
He indicated that no homo sapien come into this life for music awards therefore he focuses on producing good songs to entertain the public and not for the sake of awards
He also stated that he completely sees artistes chasing after award events as joke and there is no need for anyone to attach himself to it.
Mugeez, however, stated without mincing words that it’s so embarrassing for any musician to choose awards over good music.
