Ghanaians Hail Amaarae For Performing Songs From Other Ghanaian Artists On One Of The Biggest Stages In The World

Ghanaian musician Amaarae, who is based in the United States, raised the flag of Ghana over the weekend when she performed at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, on April 13, 2025. The enormous exposure of Ghanaian music has left Ghanaians of all backgrounds speechless.
Coachella is a well-known music and art event that takes place in California, USA. The event has expanded significantly in the past ten years, and in 2012, the organizers added a second weekend to accommodate all attendees.
These days, Coachella is divided into two distinct festivals spread over two weekends.
This year’s event took place from April 11–13 for the first week. The dates of the second phase are April 18–20, 2025.
Amaarae sang songs by Eazzy, Joey B, La Même Gang, and Asakaa Boys, among other Ghanaian artists, in addition to singing her own songs. This helped to raise awareness of Ghanaian music.
The music diva asked the audience to wave their Ghanaian flag as she was performing, loudly shouting the country’s name while the flag was prominently displayed on stage.
