During an April 13, 2025, UTV food show, Ghanaian star Harold Amenyah finally revealed the behind-the-scenes secrets of his much-anticipated wedding. Yes, it was as exclusive as it seemed.
The wedding, Harold disclosed, was completely confidential. Only 100 people, mostly close friends and family, were invited, and phones were prohibited. Not even those in the entertainment business were selected.
“No phones were permitted during my wedding, which was private. “It was written boldly at the entrance,” he said.
A wedding photo still made it through the no-phone rule and went viral very fast. Harold claims that the photographer who took the now-famous picture did not follow the explicit guidelines.

“You can imagine how small and intimate it was, as the event was for just 100 people, including family,” he said. Had I realized that a photo would be released and that we would become popular, I would have invited everyone.
In addition to its substance, the mystery surrounding the bride, who had managed to remain anonymous until that point, generated a lot of talk about the viral photo.
“The individual who released the photo has still not been apprehended. I believe the individual put it on WhatsApp only to demonstrate their presence. Because the wedding was private, I believe it trended more because people were interested,” he said.
Harold also said that his wife came up with the idea for them to make it so low-key.
“My wife decided to keep the wedding a secret.
She was unaware of the strain that comes with being married to a well-known person. She realized the seriousness of what she was getting into because of the wedding scandal.
And in a sweet twist, he disclosed they tied the knot exactly one year after they met—on April 1st, a date that raised eyebrows because it fell on April Fool’s Day.
“I met my wife a year before we got married. We got married on the same date we met. Some people questioned why we chose April 1, April Fool’s Day, but that was our anniversary. Before that, I had been single for about three years,” he said.
Reflecting on how things unfolded, Harold admitted it wasn’t ideal but was perhaps destined.
