I am confident 2026 will be a good year for the agric industry – Hon John Dumelo assures farmers

Deputy Agric Minister John Setor Dumelo has assured Ghanaian farmers of a good agricultural year.
According to him, issues of glut and post-harvest losses will be minimized.
He further indicated that the government is working to ensure that farmers get a ready market for farm produce.
He made this known in a post shared via social media after his trips to the Western and Western North regions.
He said, “From driving through the night to meet up Cocoa farmers at 7am in Tarkwa Nsuaem constituency in the Western to addressing the needs of maize and cassava farmers in the Kwesimintim constituency, I am confident 2026 will be a good year for the agric industry”.
Adding that “Issues of glut and post harvest losses will be minimized as well as getting ready market for farm produce.
