When a rapper is fresh to the game, Eno Barony, born Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, stated that rap battles are vital. Then they must demonstrate their lyrical prowess and win their spot.
Gone are the days when Eno Barony battled on the rap floor, according to her. Now that she has a full-time job, she has no time for disputes.
“I am not here to compete,” she stated. I’ve come to eat. Coming out, we’re all trying to make a name for ourselves and rise to the top.
But now that it’s a job, it’s a different story.
I’m not here to join the battle. I’m not a boxer by any stretch of the imagination. I’ve come to make music.”
Eno said she’d improved her rapping style over time. She explained that she wanted to add some softness to her rigid bars. However, with her latest album, she discusses love and singing in order to appeal to a larger audience.
This year’s VGMA’s have nominated Eno Barony in four categories. Best Rapper, Best Hip-hop, Best Hiplife/Hip-hop Artiste of the Year, and Best Hiplife Song are among her nominees. ‘God is a Woman,’ a new single by the rapper, is also available on all musical platforms, check it out.
