I Hate The So-Called ‘Gatekeepers’ Of The Music Industry – Krymi

The existence of so-called gatekeepers in the music industry has been criticized by Ghanaian highlife singer Krymi, whose real name is Henry Nuamah, in a recent interview with Ohemaa Acheampomaa on GH Highlife on Onua 95.1 FM.
According to him, such people have no power to restrict entry to a field where talent is given by God.
He said:
“Those who are referred to as “gatekeepers” bother me. The reason I dislike them is that the musicians own the industry, not them.
Therefore, don’t gatekeep a gift or talent that you didn’t provide; only God has the authority to do so. Therefore, I dislike those individuals.
But regrettably, these individuals exist within a system, which is why you must figure out a method to comply with it. Therefore, bringing everything together—your team knowing the business side of music, effectively branding yourself, and producing quality music—determines whether you succeed or fail.”
