I won’t beg to work with them – Broda Sammy on Diana Hamilton and Kofi Owusu Peprah

Ghanaian gospel singer Broda Sammy has expressed his disappointment with the selective nature of collaborations in the gospel music industry, claiming that some artists only choose to work with those who speak English.

Speaking on the Asetena Pa show with Akoto Mansa, Broda Sammy revealed that he has observed a pattern where certain gospel musicians align themselves with artists who fit a particular image, sidelining others who do not conform to their preferences.

“In this industry, some people pretend to be united, but they only work with those who speak English or share their ideologies,” he stated. “If you don’t belong to their circle, they won’t even consider you for a collaboration.”

When asked about the possibility of working with Diana Hamilton and Kofi Owusu Peprah, Broda Sammy made it clear that he was open to the idea but would not be the one to initiate it.

“If they reach out, I have no problem, but I won’t go to them. I’ve seen how things work in this industry, and I won’t beg anyone for a collaboration,” he emphasized.

Broda Sammy also highlighted the hypocrisy within the gospel fraternity, pointing out that many of his colleagues publicly advocate for Christian values but privately engage in actions that contradict their teachings.
