Legendary Asamoah Gyan was a household name in the Ghanaian football community but became more popular when he missed the penalty that could have seen the Black Stars make history in the history of World Cups.

In the last minutes of the 90 minutes, the Black Stars won a penalty courtesy of Dominic Adiyah, whose header was pointed out by outfield player Luis Suarez.
