“John Dumelo Will Suceed Regardless” – D-Black

After First Deputy Minority Whip Habib Iddrisu informed John Dumelo that “politics is not like the movies,” rapper and businessman D-Black offered his opinions on how people view jobs in entertainment.

D-Black responded with enthusiasm, pointing out how society frequently undervalues creative convocations.

“When you expressed a desire to pursue a career in music as a child, no one took you seriously. “Then no one would ask what else you would do if you said you wanted to be a doctor,” he continued.

He clarified that the perception that entertainment is only enjoyable rather than a serious career has been ingrained since early infancy.

Despite this, D-Black thinks that because there are now successful entertainment icons for younger generations to aspire to, progress is being made.

“Role models who have succeeded in the industry can now be mentioned by young people.”
