Ghanaian rapper Darlington Agyekum, better known as D-Cryme, in a recent interview, has opened up on the role of a manager.
According to D-Cryme, the role of a manager is not to invest in you but to manage your affairs because the more you become bigger in your craft, the more things you can do yourself because you are big and need to concentrate on how to remain big.
He explained that you may need someone to accept bookings on your behalf and lobby for contracts, and these are things the people who have been supporting you from your hood can easily do, so it’s not necessarily important to get the manager away from your circle.
