My beautiful moment with Shatta Wale was Overshadowed by Stonebwoy’s tweet – Sarkodie
Stonebwoy’s Tweet Overshadowed Beautiful Moment With Shatta Wale, Says Sarkodie

Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has expressed disappointment that the attention surrounding his recent stage appearance with Shatta Wale in London was overshadowed by a viral social media post from Stonebwoy.
The controversy began after Stonebwoy posted: “These 2 guys have been faking to each other based on interests and timing. Convenient friendship. Even the devil hates that.”
The post appeared shortly after Sarkodie and Shatta Wale shared the stage at Kwaku Smoke’s concert in London, leading many fans to speculate that the message was directed at them.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast, Sarkodie said the timing of the tweet shifted attention away from what he considered a positive moment for Ghanaian music.
According to him, similar situations have occurred several times over the years whenever something positive happens within the Ghanaian entertainment industry.
“Over the years, when Ghana has any beautiful moment, something comes up and distracts from it,” he said.
The rapper clarified that he was not accusing anyone of intentionally causing controversy but believes the pattern has become noticeable.
“Whether intentional or unintentional, something comes up and kills the whole beautiful thing that has happened,” he stated.
Sarkodie added that he cannot explain why such situations continue to occur and jokingly suggested that perhaps prayers are needed to break the cycle.
“I don’t know where that is coming from. We might have to pray to break that,” he added.
