“My Friendship With Tornado Was Toxic; I’m Glad We’re No More Friends” – MzBel

Ghanaian singer Mzbel says she feels great today and has given an explanation for why she is no longer friends with Tornado.
Mrs. Akuorkor Wood, Tornado’s mother, passed away in Ridge Hospital in January 2025 and was buried in Tema on March 22.
Many of Tornado’s close friends and other celebrities, such as Big Akwes, Sunsum Ahuofedua, Adwoa Jannis, and Agradaa, attended the burial.
Mzbel was conspicuously absent at the burial, but she explained her absence to Sammy Kay Media by stating that she had severed her friendship with Tornado.
She revealed that he reportedly made disparaging remarks about her and her brand, which prompted the decision. She claimed that the remarks supported her suspicion that the friendship had devolved into something poisonous.
The singer said that she had long desired to sever their connection because she no longer felt at ease in his presence. She said that the relationship no longer benefited her and that it was exhausting. She claimed she was happy she cut him off since what Tornado said was the last reason she needed to do so.
